How blogging can change your life?

If you wish to know how blogging can change your life, I can tell you that it changed my life completely.

When I started my blogging journey, I had a really good reason to start my wellness blog. I faced unimaginable challenges, and unlike other bloggers who start blogging because they want to, I had no choice.

I don’t regret though!

Blogging can change your life in various ways. You can quit your traditional job, and start making money building an online business. You can work anywhere in the world, work fewer hours, sleep more, and live a stress-free life.

My short story…

Several years ago I run a dance school with the love of my life. My wife was a full-time dancer, teacher, choreographer, and performer.

But her life changed within a blink of an eye when she was diagnosed with endometriosis and fibromyalgia.

She’s lost her dance career, her passion, and her income. Both of her chronic conditions ruined her life to the point where she tried to commit suicide on two separate occasions.

It changed everything about her career dramatically during that time. My wife became a part-time medical secretary working from home. She really wanted to dance, but instead, ended up working in something she hated.

I was feeling overwhelmed by my wife’s chronic conditions and her mental health declined to the point that I had to take two months off work to help her go through this difficult period of time.

This is when my life changed.

Writing my way into an amazing life…

When my wife’s life-changing conditions began to impact her mental health, it also took a toll on me. I needed to speak to somebody but I didn’t want to put on the burden of my own issues on my wife.

She had enough to deal with, besides, I needed to be strong for her.

This is when I began to write my feelings down, but I also needed to share them with someone else. This is when I stumbled upon a blog from an anxious lass, in which she explained how she expressed her feelings and made money blogging at the same time.

I couldn’t resist and started my own blog called “Worry Head”.

My first blog post had over 8000 words, it was insane but felt amazing. And even though I had to improve my writing skills, it was just the start of my long blogging journey.

When I started blogging, I was constantly learning new skills, but I knew that one day my own blog would change my life in many positive ways.

Can writing a blog help change our world?

I can say a definite “Yes!”

Good blogs change things. My health blog changed the lives of many couples to find ways of coping with the new normal when dealing with chronic conditions.

Perhaps not everyone understands it. Even my family struggled to understand why I kept spending late evenings and nights typing on my laptop. They thought I was obsessed!

Well, they were right. But I knew that success doesn’t happen overnight.

I was obsessed with my goal of improving my poor wife’s life, and the only way I could do it was through making money from my own business. And when it comes to business ideas, you can earn money from building a blog.

I believe that blogging has always been one of the most effective communication mediums.

How to start a blog?

To start a successful blog, you need to go through the following steps:

  1. Choose a blogging platform.
  2. Select a domain name and web hosting.
  3. Set up your blog.
  4. Start writing blog posts.
  5. Monetize your blog.

Having it all in place will make blogging a fun and rewarding experience for you.

Let’s get started!

1. Choose a blogging platform.

A blogging platform is a software or service that you use to create and manage your blog.

There are a number of different blogging platforms to choose from, each with its own set of features and price tags. Some popular blogging platforms include WordPress, Blogger, Tumblr, and Medium.

The choice is simple – always choose WordPress because:

  • It is the most popular blogging platform with over 60 million users.
  • WordPress is free and open-source software released under the GPL.
  • It is very user-friendly and easy to use.
  • WordPress is highly customizable with a wide range of themes and plugins available.
  • It has excellent support with a large community of users and developers.

2. Select a domain name and web hosting.

Once you’ve selected a blogging platform, you’ll need to choose a domain name and web hosting plan.

Your domain name is how readers will find your blog online (i.e. www.worryhead.com), while your web hosting plan is what keeps your blog accessible to the world wide web.

There are a number of different providers to choose from, so be sure to do your research before making your final decision. Personally, I always recommend my own hosting company because HostGator is as cheap as a cup of coffee.

Besides, other benefits of using HostGator include:

  • A cheap hosting company that costs only $2.75.
  • Free WordPress installation with a single click.
  • 24/7/365 customer support via phone, chat, and email.
  • HostGator has a 45-day money-back guarantee.

3. Set up your blog.

Setting up your blog is relatively simple, but there are a few key steps you’ll need to follow.

First, you’ll need to select a theme or template for your blog. This will determine the overall look and feel of your blog. Don’t get caught in endless redesigning of your style, other bloggers fall into this trap.

Next, you’ll need to add basic pages (home, about, blog), and then you have to start adding some content to your blog. It’s really that simple.

4. Start writing blog posts.

Now it’s time to start writing!

How blogs changed over the last decade is unbelievable. In the past, you could write a blog post that was only 500 words short and ranked easily. Today is different.

When writing your blog posts in the 2020s, be sure to focus on the quality of it. To find great post ideas and write an awesome article every time, you can speed up the process by using AI tools like Jasper.

Focus on creating helpful, informative, and engaging content that will resonate with your target audience. You can get many benefits from SurferSEO. This AI tool helps by creating content that actually ranks in Google search engines.

Using AI was the biggest and most positive learning curve for me on my new journey of blogging.

5. Monetize your blog.

If you’re looking to make money from your blog, there are a number of ways you can do so.

The most common method is through advertising, but you can also monetize your website through affiliate marketing, selling products or services, and more.

Be sure to do your research and explore all of your options before selecting the monetization strategy that’s right for you. And don’t monetize your site too early. Focus on writing posts first.

Blogging can seem difficult not to give up on at the very beginning because when you first start blogging, you will see no results, zero, nada, just poop.

To get out of this poppy phase is only one way – keep writing post after post and your blogging business will slowly grow.

You need to give it at least 8 months for each post to rank my friends because ranking takes time, and if you aren’t ready to wait and spend time writing, you will struggle to get out of the poop phase.

It took me over a year to get out of the poop phase and start getting some traffic.

It is going to take you a few years to build your blog from scratch before you monetize it with ads, promote products as an affiliate, and even create your own products. Building blogs take time my friends, but it’s totally worth it!

Today, I am stress-free being on my way to financial freedom.

My blogging tips.

Blogging isn’t for everyone, but blogging life is a beautiful one. Many bloggers fail to make full-time job blogging because they fail to understand that blogging is a long-term game, not a get-rich-quick scheme.

Blogging changed my life, now it is your turn to learn how blogging can change your life too.
